BG100 SONGS FOR BLEEDING GOLD II : Released Monday November 9th in conjunction with Independent Label Week (09 Nov – 15 Nov)! 9 Bleeding Gold bands covering other songs from the Bleeding Gold catalog…a follow up to the 2013 covers compilation Songs For Bleeding Gold. We are celebrating the release all week by offering extremely- limited edition LATHE-CUT 7″ picture discs of each of the 9 tracks from the album, all featuring unique artwork by Seattle-based artist Jesse Treece. Only 20 copies will be released of each track and all at various times throughout the week, so KEEP YOUR BROWSERS SET TO OUR BIGCARTEL SHOP NEXT WEEK!!

Roman Lakes is the solo project of Ben from Bleeding Gold‘s S’s and Special Guests. The Greater-Manchester-born singer-songwriter creates guitalele folk-pop with tones in the right zones. Influences include Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Morrissey, Lucy Rose and The Tallest Man on Earth.

BG085 | Yearbook

BG089 | MAGIC DUDES

Apache Viking were hatched circa 2009 from members of Newcastle based band Free Diamonds (signed to Deep Elm records in the US), US act Foresake Ya to the Snakes, and the famed Newcastle country band The Devitos.

This unlikely coalition is a jigsaw of pop punk, cartoon lyricism, Russian polka and mid 50’s lo-fi. Instantly Apache Viking were quoted as the best band in Newcastle upon Tyne and ones to watch by BBC 6 music (who have dedicated airplay on many occasions).

UK lo-fi two-piece FURROW return to Bleeding Gold with a new digital single in preparation for their debut 12″ – titled “West Felton” – due out later this Fall. This single features 2 new songs recorded and mixed by the band and mastered by Mark Jasper (Witching Waves) at London’s Sound Savers studio. The second full-length release from South Wales’ HEHFU on Bleeding Gold. This time we find Bradley writing songs about the demise of the relationship that was the theme of the first album, Music For My Broken Ears. The contrast shows in the rawer sound; more lo-fi, if that is even possible, and more heart-on-his-sleeve than ever. We hope you enjoy this collection of relationship exorcisms as much as we do.

Sex Dream is the solo project of San Francisco Bay Area musician, Benjamin W. Jameson.  Benjamin’s debut record attempts to widen the relationship between bass, guitar, and drums by employing restraint and independence between the instruments.  Benjamin’s influence comes from the sonic boundaries around an electric guitar as well as the understated power of an interesting bass-line.  He currently works out of Martinez and Oakland, CA.
