LIZARD KISSES
Since getting together and recording their first EP late in 2010, Cory Siegler and Marc Merza have kept themselves busy as Lizard Kisses – releasing two cassettes, a single on Beko DSL, two split 7″s (with Florist and My Friend Wallis respectively), a beautiful four track EP entitled ‘Loving Creatures’ and a few digital singles.
“Serious DIY adepts, the Brooklyn duo doesn’t only craft songs, but are involved with every aspect of their releases making each copy a treasure to behold – silkscreened covers, hand-pressed tapes, unique collaged collaborations – you name it, they have probably done it!” – Camila, WeePOP! Records
Essentially the “band” is Cory Siegler and Marc Merza, with various participants. Lizard Kisses has been a platform for expression, documenting their collaborations with friends – the people they are most inspired by. The “band” is a catalyst to help build friendships and bonds, empower themselves and others to know they have a voice.
The newly released Bleeding Gold 7″ single was completed with the help of Calvin Johnson, Ken Kagami, John Hunter, and Jordan Lee.
