BG100 SONGS FOR BLEEDING GOLD II : Released Monday November 9th in conjunction with Independent Label Week (09 Nov – 15 Nov)! 9 Bleeding Gold bands covering other songs from the Bleeding Gold catalog…a follow up to the 2013 covers compilation Songs For Bleeding Gold. We are celebrating the release all week by offering extremely- limited edition LATHE-CUT 7″ picture discs of each of the 9 tracks from the album, all featuring unique artwork by Seattle-based artist Jesse Treece. Only 20 copies will be released of each track and all at various times throughout the week, so KEEP YOUR BROWSERS SET TO OUR BIGCARTEL SHOP NEXT WEEK!!

BG095 | Chosen Era

Chosen Era, the debut Lame Drivers 12″ LP, is out Oct 9th in collaboration with Bleeding Gold Records (LP) and Jigsaw Records (CD).

Chosen Era was recorded by Lame Drivers at home in the basement, and also by Matt Tong (ex-Bloc Party), and Travis Harrison (Homosexuals, GBV), and Geoff Sanoff (Obits) recorded one of the bonus tracks. All mastered by Jamal Ruhe (Sheer Mag).

BG088 | A Foreground And A Backdrop

Lost Trail is the ambient/dronegaze/experimental noise project of husband-and-wife duo Zachary Corsa and Denny Wilkerson Corsa. Based in the mysterious small city of Burlington, North Carolina, The Corsas utilize lo-fi and obsolete recording technology in their music, aiming to capture a sense of atmosphere and landscape in both man-made and wild environments. Working primarily with second-hand analog equipment, their work is a vivid patchwork collage of damaged cassette loops, field recordings, primitive percussion, layers of ethereal guitar drones, wailing feedback and static, and skeletal traces of antique piano and organ. The themes of Lost Trail’s work often include a sense of the otherworldly or supernatural, as well as strong ties to nature, human calamity, and a fascination with the concept of passionate belief systems. The songs themselves are raw, broken, minimalist, imperfect, emotionally resounding and chaotically unpredictable, all composed in the spirit of reckless, heedless improvisation.

Edition of 100
Each 12″ is housed in a clamshell-foldover cover featuring artwork by the band and each copy includes a unique printed picture taken by the band. No picture is exactly the same.

Roman Lakes is the solo project of Ben from Bleeding Gold‘s S’s and Special Guests. The Greater-Manchester-born singer-songwriter creates guitalele folk-pop with tones in the right zones. Influences include Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Morrissey, Lucy Rose and The Tallest Man on Earth.
